It looks complicated, but it is actually quite simple. And you can knit this stitch with one, two or three colors. It is reversible – both sides are beautiful – and it does not curl, so it is a good knitting stitch for decoration projects, like rugs or blankets, or accessories, such as bags or scarfs.
Here we used Rosários 4 70’s cotton yarn (one colour).
Cast on an even number of stitches.
Row 1: K1, yarn in front of the work, slip 1 stitch purlwise, yarn in the back, K1; repeat * until the last stitch, K1.
Row 2: P1, *yarn in the back, slip 1 stitch purlwise, yarn in front, P1*; repeat until the last stitch, P1.
