GAUGE

In jersey stitch, 15sts and 16rows – 10 x 10 cm, with 6mm needle, locked.

NEEDLES

6mm circular needles, (or the required needle size to obtain the correct gauge) and 5,5mm or 5mm circular needles for hems.

NOTIONS

Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn, scissors.

The Vila Real Vest is a practical, extremely lightweight and beautiful garment. It’s a vest that can be worn loose and short, looking lovely with dresses, skirts, and high-waisted pants.
It has a top-down, seamless construction, starting at the neckline and continuing towards the waistband. The back and front pieces are knitted separately, in rows on both the right and wrong sides, up to the armhole. From there, the front and back pieces are joined together and then continue knitting in the round until the waist is reached.
