This bag is made using the filet crochet technique, also known as “open and closed squares”. In this technique, the base of the work is formed by a mesh of double crochet stitches and chains. To create the pattern, follow a chart composed of colored and white squares: each colored square represents a filled (or closed) square, and each white square represents an open square. To make a filled square, work 3 double crochets; to make an open square, work 2 chains and 1 double crochet.
