This cardigan is knitted from the bottom up. We start by knitting the body seamlessly up to the armhole. The front in lace stitch and the back in stockinette stitch. In the armholes we separate the fronts and backs and work each part separately up to the shoulder. After joining the shoulders, we pick up stitches around the armhole to knit the sleeve. Start by shaping the sleeve cap with short rows. Then knit the sleeve in the round down to the cuff. After finishing the cuff, we pick up stitches around the cuff to knit the ruffle, also in the round. Then pick up stitches at the neckline to knit the collar. At the end, pick up stitches along the front selvedges to knit the button bands.
